Well… our Sunset Sips at Solstice last year was our major 2017 success - stacks of residents and the most impressive sunset.

But… our first Sunset Sips for 2018 at Attunga Park was IMMENSE!!

The Webmaster tried (as in a very half-hearted attempt) to do a quick head-count of the turn-up. It was all too hard for me so I outsourced to various “mathematically reliable” people who reported back a range of numbers - 120 to 150 residents and friends.

I knew it would be an impressive day/night when people began turning up 30 minutes before the official start time. We were still setting up the BBQ, citronella flares, garbage bags, tables, condiments etc, and sponsored beer and champagne courtesy of Raine & Horne. They obviously knew of the attendance magnitude and needed to stake their area, which coincidently was very near the food and beverage - not really, we were all searching for shade under the huge Morton Bay Figs.

As for all our Sunset Sips, the night proceeded through to the midnight hours, but it was rumoured Barbara and Michael (next to the Park) hosted the afterparty.

So, another major success from the Residents Association, bringing senior, old and new residents together in one of our many beautiful meeting places.

A special thank you to Michael and Barbara Lyden for mowing and tidying the Park, and cleaning picnic furniture before we all arrived.
